We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams
~~~ Arthur O'Shaughnessy
Lou Holtz said successful people (& football teams & music groups!) are successful
because they keep making
GOOD CHOICES.
Here are the three challenges he gave to his own children and every college football
player he ever coached.
The 3 points below are direct quotes from him.
Rule #1 is Choose to DO RIGHT. Do what is right and avoid what is wrong. I don't think it's right to find a team-mates wallet and watch BEFORE he lost it.
Rule #2 is Choose to DO YOUR BEST. Do everything to the best of your ability. Not because somebody is going to applaud or give you an award but because it's just the way you live, the way you believe.
Rule #3 is Choose to SHOW PEOPLE YOU CARE. When you walk into a room I don't want your attitude to be, "Hey, here I am. Look at me! It's all about me" No it's not. I want your attitude to be, "Hey, there you are, how can I help you?"
If we can do this - we can't help but be successful!
